Step into a world of sophistication and glamour, where sinfully seductive heroes await you in luxurious international locations.
The clipping of the innocent’s wings…
The tango is an Argentinian dance of passion and possession…and that’s exactly how aristocrat Rafael Romero intends his convenient marriage to teacher Isobel will be. First he will take her as his bride. Then he’ll lead her to the marriage bed, where he’ll make her his.
Isobel may have no choice but to give her hand to Rafael in matrimony, but she intends to stay as free as a bird…not anticipating that her new husband will keep her caged once he discovers he’s wed a virgin…

Good book - detestable hero.
I find it very hard to understand my reactions to this book.
In Rafael (domineering, selfish and overbearing) Ms Green has surely created one of the most detestable heroes in the history of M&B.
Isobel is appealing though and the story raises the moral issue of whether a child should sacrifice herself for her parents.
The background of Buenos Aires and Argentina is exciting though and you can almost feel the tension.
Despite the awful Rafael I actually enjoyed the book which is inexplicable!
8.5 out of 10.
Bride in a Gilded Cage
Fabulous. The very first MB book I read was one of Abby Greens - she hooked me and she never disappoints. This was a good read.
Tango and Tension
Although the hero was written to be rather old fashioned and a tad heavy handed, I loved this story. It lived up to that all forgiving M&B turn-around, and delived the honest happy ending I've come to expect from Abby Green.
I found myself reading with happy anticipation for the hero to come to his arogant senses and realise that he was in love wih the heroine. I wasn't disapointed.
Bride in a Gilded Cage
I love Abby Green's books, most of her books I keep, this one though was a bit slow for me, still good, but I expected more.
Loved THIS story. Abby is such an amazing writer, with exceptionally well developed characters. Read it in one go.
