All the magic you’ll need... Daniel is dreadful at tinsel, fairy lights and families. Put in charge of his brother’s kids, Daniel panics. Surely he can’t ask Stella for help? It used to be her favourite season, until Daniel began – and ended – their engagement on Christmas Eve. Still, Stella can’t refuse his desperate plea. The children deserve the best Christmas ever! Meanwhile, shivering on the snowy doorstep of High Fell Barn, Hayley’s regretting her impulsive response to a job advert. It’s too late, the door is opening to reveal a rather cross – but impossibly sexy – man… Patrick hadn’t advertised for a housekeeper – Alfie, his ten-year-old son, has taken matters into his own hands. Still, Hayley might be the perfect gift. Alfie and his little sister are no angels. But they know a lot about the magic of Christmas – and they’re about to teach the grown-ups a much-needed lesson!

Rating"I picked this up in the supermarket not realising initially it was M&B. I assume these stories had been previously published under Medical. Anyway that is not a series I normally read. However, I must admit I really enjoyed this book. The characterisation is excellent, especially little Alfie. Both stories are really enjoyable but I think I preferred Patrick's story - I found Hayley hilarious in a Bridget Jones-esque sort of way and some of the dialogue is brilliant! What I really liked about both of the stories was there was a sense of believability about the characters. I have always been a big fan of Modern but recently I have found many of the plots and characters really implausible. This book was just soooo refreshing!!! My only regret was that I did not discover this until after Christmas. This is definitely a book to curl up on the settee in front of the Christmas tree with a nice box of choccies! It definitely captures the Christmas spirit!"

Rating"I really enjoyed reading this for the seasonal period. It was something light hearted and sensual. Daniel and Patrick Buchannan are twin brothers who aren't in steady relationships, their relationships are with work and when the objects of their affections come back to the present, you can only imagine their perfect lives are turned upside down.
My favourite character was Alfie, what a delightful child who features in both stories. Definitely a must-read. "
