"Sheikh's Wife
A thoroughly enjoyable tale with two fascinating characters in Rashid and Laura as East meets West. Laura has the unusal occupation of being a female pilot which is woven into the story.
This written with the author's usual panache and gives a realistic insight into a "foreign" lifestyle. There's also a touch of mystery in the plot which adds greatly to the enjoyment.

Scarred Sheikh
Myabe a drawback to these novels being published in one volume is that you have an immediate comparison between the two.
Neither Khalid nor Ella had the same charisma as Rashid and Laura - Khalid in particular did not have the X-factor of his btother seemiung a little immature.
This did not hold my interest to the same extent although it was still a worthwhile read.

Normally in rating these 2-in-1 issues it is my policy to give an overall star rating eqivalent to the lower but in this case as The Sheikh's Wife was almost 5 stars and The Scarred Sheikh was close although not quite a 4 I have given 4 stars overall."
