Rating"Miracle For The Girl Next Door
A somewhat undemanding family story although a major thrust of the plot is not something which I really wish to read about in a romance novel. In some ways the love story became secondary. But it's enjoyable enough.
6 out of 10.
Mother Of The Bride
For those of us who have been M&B readers for some time this is something of a throwback - a traditional romance set mostly in the Scottish Highlands!
Rob (do I detect a trend towards "hon" heroes in Mrs Anderson's novels?) and Maisie capture your heart right from the beginning and I so wanted them to make it that I had to fight myself not to read the final chapter in advance! I really felt for them being blown apart for almost 20 years when for the sake of a few words........
Mrs Anderson has surpassed herself with this one.
A lovely, lovely story and even at this early stage I am certain this will be on my short list for M&B of the Year 2010!
11 out of 10!!
Again while it is a shame that Mother Of The Bride cannot be credited with 5 stars the book has to be judged overall."
