Rating"Mrs Kendrick has taken one of the great classics - Jane Eyre - and transformed the plot to a modern-day setting and it works successfully.
Jack is a brooding but fascinating hero and Ashley a rather self-effacing but eminently likeable heroine in an entertaining story.
However, I do have reservations at the age-gap of almost 20 years between them - (they are from different generations) and I have to question Jack's integrity in not revealing to Ashley an important facet of his life which was central to their relationship.
Notwithstanding this I really enjoyed the book.
8.5 out of 10."

Rating"where do I start?
she is young, he is old enough to know better.
He is married and during the book has a girlfriend. He asks her to keep their relationship a secret!! Need I go on. I am a fan of Sharon kendrick but morally this book made me uncomfortable"

Rating"I loved this modern-day Jane Eyre and thought it was wonderfully written. Despite knowing the classic well, I was soon drawn into Jack and Ashley's story and was able to imagine them on the moors and in the Blackwood Manor. "
