"Mrs Marton is one of my favourite authors who makes compelling reading and this book is written with all her usual panache and urgency.
However for anyone reading this be prepared for something completely different.
The underlying plot is beyond my comprehension and overrides any enjoyment I may have taken from the story and the violent mood swings of the heroine was off-putting.
A departure from the norm which didn't appeal to me - perhaps it is more suitable for a different Series? - but I will wait with interest to see what other readers may make of this.
