Rating"An interesting attempt to put a Modern slant on the classic Jane Austen novel Persuasion.
James and Harriet are two solid, personable characters. Although strong-willed and determined, James could perhaps do with a little bit more oomph.
For me Harriet went too far in her loyalty to her family.
On the whole Mrs George has succeeded in her task and while the ending is too neatly tied up I found the book a worthwhile read.
8 out of 10 "
