"This is very much a curate's egg!
Parts of it are outstanding particularly the sex scenes between Vittorio who is a superb alpha hero and the strong-in-character Jill whom your heart goes out to for what her life has been.
There is a thrilling undercurrent but this to some extent makes uncomfortable reading.
I found much in the plot which was offputting. Without divulging too much Vittorio quite often casts up the fact that he has lost almost the first year of his son's life - yet he has known where Jill was from the start so why not claim them immediately?
It also makes me very uneasy that money seems to be able to buy "classified" information - if Vittorio can do this then others can too.
While it is in many ways a powerful novel it left me feeling very edgy - the ending rather suggests that Jill is not completely safe.

"Reading Jane Porter's A dark Sicilian Secret is akin to getting a shot of pure romance adrenalin. Spare, concise writing with lots of dialogue between the main characters (an alpha male & a strong willed (thank you, Jane!)heroine), sensual love scenes and a believable storyline makes this book one of the best M&B I've read in a long time"
