Rating"What does a reader want from a book in the Medical Series?
Obviously there must be a romance with a medical background be it a hospital, surgery, vet's practice etc but the really dificult task for the author is to get the balance right between the medical and personal detail.
Perhaps others feel differently but while I certainly want to gain insight into medical practices and diagnoses I also do not want a long and detailed description of an operation such as a heart procedure etc!
This is where Mrs Neil always come up trumps for she judges it to perfection.
This author's romances would be more akin to the Romance rather than Modern Series for they go mostly along the lines of a heart warming family story.
Here we have Sam, a fascinating hero who has never really connected with his family and feels unable to make a committment and Summer who is family orientated and takes over the care of her sister's fatherless child when she diappears. Summer is also super-efficient at her job in the hospital yet she doesn't make you feel inferior or feel that she is too good to be true!
This a really heartwarming read as the characters work their way towards their "happy ending".
One of Mrs Neil's best to date.
