"Slight change of direction here for Mrs Way in that the setting is semi-rural rather than Outback with few of her trademark descriptive passages.

But Rohan and Charlotte are strong characters in an emotionally powerful story of past secrets and wrongs with almost tangible tension which had me engrossed from beginning to end.
