But as Meg arrives in her curve-hugging red dress, her skills on a horse are the furthest thing from his mind…The Rancher’s Dance Lucy Buchanan was getting romantic ideas about the sexy rancher next door. Not even Beck’s gruff manner could stop her from being neighbourly. Rating"Mrs Alward mostly writes heartwarming family stories set in rural Canada just as this is.
Clay is the usual enigmatic ranching hero whom you take to heart but it was very hard to identify with Megan
She has come through a traumatic illness and I cannot know how I might react in the same circumstances but I felt she was too self-pitying and her treatment of Clay was not admirable.
While I do fell a bit guilty about this I felt quite uneasy about the subject matter of the plot
