About Pamela

Growing up in Seattle, I had always planned to be an artist, not a writer. I even majored in graphic design at the University of Washington. It was actually after my mother, who worked as a librarian, gave me a stack of Harlequin romances that I couldn’t put down; that I began to dream of a writing career.

My plans were postponed while I worked full time and raised my daughters. Fate stepped in some years later when I was laid off from my job and a close friend of mine introduced me to mystery writer Meg Chittenden. Meg steered me to a fledgling local chapter of Romance Writers of America, but it still took three years and several false starts before my first book sale. For the next 20 years, I belonged to a close-knit group of published writers while penning romances for several lines at Harlequin and Silhouette.

A year after my divorce, a chance remark by an acquaintance led me to a coffee date with my old boyfriend from high school. After spending three decades apart, we are now happily married in a condo near Seattle with a view of Mt. Rainier and a Birman kitten named Coco.

When I’m not travelling with my husband, who is now retired, I love spending time with my two grown daughters, serving on the board of my condo association, antiquing, gardening, cross-stitching and reading. The stack of books beside my chair includes thrillers, mysteries, women's fiction and biographies as well as romances by my favourite authors. My future plans include a cruise to Alaska and learning to quilt – and writing more romances, of course.
