About Kathleen

I was born in Virginia and raised in true ‘Air Force brat’ style – on the road. After earning degress from Mount Holyoke College and Northern State University, I taught at Standing Rock High School in North Dakota for seventeen years. I still teach writing today, at the Loft literary Centre in Minneapolis.

I had my first book published in 1984 by Silhouette and was utterly thrilled when it went on to win a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart Award. Since then I have published more than forty books, including historical and contemporary, series and single title and have seen my work appear on regional and national bestseller lists, including the USA Today list and the New York Times extended bestseller list.

I live in Minnesota with my husband of thirty five years, who is Lakota Sioux and together we have three grown children.
