A close friend of mine came up with the tag line for my page. She noticed a theme in my stories: 'Intrigues where honour and danger collide with love.' A theme that is holding true in most of my stories, where men and women must put the person they love above everything else. My stories all take place in actual Texan settings. When I come up with an idea, my husband and I pack up the dogs, hitch up the camper, and drive. The landscape becomes an important part of shaping the story and keeping the characters' action real, yet dangerous.
At a book signing, it's much easier for me to promote someone else than myself. You see, southern ladies don't brag… much. But you might want to know that my work has been a finalist in the Bookseller’s Best Award, Romantic Times Best First Series, Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence and the Daphne du Maurier. My first sale to Harlequin Intrigue won the RWA Golden Heart and went on sale that very night at midnight. It was the coolest feeling… EVER !
