The third book of the 200 Harley Street mini-series maintains the high standard set.
Luca is an attractive and charismatic - if somewhat dour on the exterior - character. I just couldn't agree though with his motives for not wanting pioneering treatment to be carried out to try to save his daughter's life - without it she was doomed. I was aghast at his ultimatum to Abbie if she took the baby to America.
No matter what fears if there was any remote chance of saving my child's life I would grab it with both hands.
My sympathies all lay with Abbie and fortunately she had the strength of character to stick to her convictions even if she did feel guilty at the situation which arose between her and Luca.
This was a powerfully emotional book and the first half was pleasingly filled with tension although I personally thought the situation between them should not have been resolved so early, the second half tailed off slightly and became over sentimental.
I did enjoy how we got to learn more about some of the characters who will be featuring in future books in the series.
Overall a good read.
